Local University Recommendation Programs

School Nominations Direct Admission Scheme（SNDAS）

 

Program Objectives:
This program is designed for students who have outstanding talents in specific academic or non-academic fields (such as music, sports, community service, etc.), but may not be able to fully demonstrate their strengths in the Diploma of Secondary Education (DSE) examination.

Program Details:

  • Choose one program from nearly 300 subsidized bachelor's degree programs offered by 8 UGC-funded universities.
  • All recommended students will be arranged for interviews; some universities may also conduct written tests.
  • Successful applicants will receive "Direct Admission" offers before DSE results are announced, regardless of their DSE grades.
  • If a student accepts a "Direct Admission" offer, they will not be admitted to other programs through JUPAS.

 

JUPAS School Principal’s Nominations (SPN)

 

Program Objectives:
The main purpose of this program is to recognize applicants' contributions to social service or outstanding performance in non-academic areas (such as sports, music, social service, creative activities, other cultural activities, or leadership abilities). It provides a more flexible admission system that does not overly rely on public examination results.

Program Details:

  • Universities will give appropriate consideration to nominees based on their individual qualifications and their JUPAS Band A program choices.
  • Nominees have the opportunity to receive "Conditional Offers" or additional "bonus points" through interviews.

 

Mainland China University Recommendation Programs

Peking University

Boya Talent Training Program

 

Recommendation Requirements and Standards:

  1. Academic performance ranking among the top in the school, top 5% of the entire grade level.
  2. Well-rounded qualities and outstanding performance in non-academic areas.
  3. High aspirations and strong sense of social responsibility.
  • Students who pass the interview will receive a "Direct Admission" offer from Peking University, regardless of their DSE results.

 

Tsinghua University

Hong Kong Student Recommendation Program

 

Recommendation Requirements and Standards:

  1. Secondary 6 students with excellent academic performance and all-round development.
  2. Outstanding performance in areas such as technological inventions, research practice, and literary creation.
  3. Love for the motherland and Hong Kong, with support for One Country Two Systems and the Basic Law.                            

 

Fudan University

Hong Kong Secondary School Principal Recommendation Program                                                                                     

Recommendation Requirements and Standards:

  1. Achieve at least 332A in HKDSE core subjects.
  2. Rich and outstanding senior secondary learning experiences.
  3. Well-rounded comprehensive qualities and outstanding subject performance. 
  • Students who pass the interview will receive a "Conditional Admission" offer      from Fudan University.

 

Jinan University and Huaqiao University

Principal Nomination Program

 

Recommendation Requirements and Standards:

  1. Must have completed three years of senior secondary education at a Hong Kong local secondary school.
  2. Good conduct and academic performance, with grade ranking at least in the top 70% at school.
  3. Or outstanding performance in areas such as science and technology, sports, arts, or social service. 
  • Students who pass the interview will receive a "Direct Admission" offer from the respective universities, regardless of their DSE results.

 

Overseas University Recommendation Programs

Our school is a member of the Hong Kong Direct Subsidy Scheme Schools Council and participates in the DSS School Principal Nomination Direct Admission Scheme. Participating Australian universities accept applications from our school based on students' predicted grades in the DSE examination, as assessed through their school academic records. Through direct principal recommendations, some universities are able to make admission decisions without requiring students to wait for their official DSE results (related news linked below).
