Scholarships & Financial Aid

A. Introduction

 

To ensure adequate support for students’ school life and learning opportunities, scholarships and financial aid, which account for 10% of the total annual school fees, will be offered to students with excellent academic performance and students with financial needs.

 

B. Scholarships

(1)

Hong Zhi Scholarship
  1. S1-S5 students with level 5* (or over 90 marks) and conduct of B+ or above will be exempted from paying the annual school fee when promoted next school year. 

S1-S5 students who pass in all subjects and rank first in the class with conduct B+ or above will be exempted by half of the school fee when promoted next school year.

  1. S6 graduates who entered locally recognized bachelor degree programmes

PTA Scholarship
  1. S6 students who ranked first, second and third in the final exam

Exchange Programme Scholarship
  1. S1-S5 students who ranked first and second for the first term in each class

Alumni Association Scholarship
  1. Students having outstanding performance in PE, Arts and social service

 

C. Financial aid

All S1-S6 students with financial needs are eligible for school fee remission.

 

1.     The application form can be obtained upon the submission of parents’ letter. Once the  application form and the related documents are submitted, the application is to be approved by the school principal.

2.     The financially disadvantaged will be granted fee remission.

3.      Criteria: The school adopts the "Adjusted Family Income" (AFI) mechanism of the

 

Student Financial Assistance Agency of the HKSAR Government as the means test to assess the eligibility of a family for student financial assistance and its assistance level.

(If necessary, the school will make appropriate supplements and modifications and announce it on the website in a timely manner.

Remarks:

 

  1. The application should be made in early September. It will be approved by the school management committee and parents will be notified in mid-October.
  2.  The school reserves the right of final approval for all applications and the applicants shall raise no objection.

 

D. Declaration

The personal data provided by the applicant is for internal use only so that the relevant personnel of the school can process the admission application and other matters related to admission. If the information is not provided in the application form, the school will not be able to process the relevant admission application. All admission documents submitted will not be returned. If the application is unsuccessful, all documents will be destroyed within three months.

 

E. Collection of Personal Data

  1. You have a right of access and correction with respect to the personal data as provided for in Sections 18 and 22 and Principle 6 of Schedule 1 of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.
