This year’s Open Day was absolutely incredible!

Arriving at the school, I saw teachers, students and even parents were busy setting up food stalls, game booths and activities for students and visitors. It seemed everyone was ready for the Open Day.

I first went to the school hall to join the opening ceremony. It was started with an amazing lion dance performance. It followed with performances ranging from singing, dancing and musical instruments. I really enjoyed them not only because of the talents our schoolmates have, but also because they had the courage to perform on stage in front of such a large audience

After the ceremony, I strolled around and saw that there was a crowd of people in the covered playground watching one of the upperclassmen playing golf with a teacher. I was delighted to see that even teachers were taking part in the fun activities. I watched spectacular performances which showcased the talents of our fellow students and enjoyed delicious snacks prepared by our PTA. The activity I found most enjoyable was hosted in the art room. It was an activity where you could mix water with colours and use sheets of paper to soak it up, making a mesmerising piece of art.

As I left the school, I thought to myself that the experience I had today was really great. I didn’t know what to expect since this was the first Open Day I have experienced in this school. It turned out that I had so much fun that I can hardly wait for next year’s open day! Maybe next year I can help with the preparations too!
